Beginning his work on political campaigns, John rapidly ascended through various significant roles, including Campaign Manager for a countywide race in the second largest county in the country and leading coalition negotiations for a community benefit agreement for Chicago’s 2016 Olympic Bid. Additionally, he has served in government roles for nearly a decade, as Director of Local Government for Illinois State and Chief of Staff at Cook County.
In 2018, John transitioned into a broader consulting role, providing guidance on campaign management, speechwriting, and legislative strategy to diverse clients — from local governments to major electoral campaigns. John’s expertise in policy development and stakeholder engagement has been pivotal in shaping legislative and organizational outcomes across the US.
As Senior Advisor at Michigan United, John spearheaded critical initiatives, including labor negotiations and political planning, significantly contributing to legislative victories and enhanced voter access strategies in Michigan.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lake Forest College and has further honed his skills through professional development courses in leadership and management.
